There is a bug where you cannot purchase items.  We have fixed the bug, and will push it live in a few days.  Until then, you can purchase items if you go to this url:  https://moonbreakers.com/?build=3852

Please got back to the normal URL when you are finished purchasing items.  Otherwise you won't be able to play matches against the rest of the community.  --wj

So there should be a patch coming today.  Mainly just balance changes, and some behind-the-scenes changes that will help us fix bugs.

In no particular order:

Mamba and Rhino shield delay has been further reduced.

Mamba shield regen has been increased.

Mamba boost regen has been slightly increased.

Nighthawk and Sidewinder can fire rockets more frequently.

Nighthawk heat regen has been increased.

Sidewinder boost regen has been increased.

Mamba acceleration has been increased.

Stingray can fire missiles more frequently.

Heavy Cannon damage has been increased.

Missiles fire less frequently, but move faster.

Rockets fire more frequently and move faster.

Carrier health has been increased.

The Carrier will take much less damage from normal weapons.

Two extra turrets have been added inside the hangar to make it a less viable location for torpedo attacks.

Turret health has been increased.

The damage and turn speed of the hangar turrets has been *slightly* increased.

Disconnecting will no longer help you survive a dog-fight.

Players may no longer collect their own bounties if they end the match with it.

I'll get this out as quickly as I can.  Then I'll spend some time trying to stomp out the nasty server bugs before beginning work on the match-making system.

Your feedback is always appreciated.

So my brother got married, and I took some time off for the wedding.  I have been working on technical foundations that will enable a lot of game-play improvements, but don't provide any immediate benefits.  The engine guy has started on a mac and linux port. I will put out some game tweaks this week, and then start working on matchmaking.

I wish I had better news, but that is it for now.  --wj

The most active members of our community have started their own forum.  They handle play tips, vent, chat and other stuff.  Better yet, they are probably more active at responding to questions then the devs are, so hop over there if you get a chance.

We mainly use this forum for announcements and bug reporting.  If you want something more causal and community focused go to: Moonbreakers.forumotion.com

I am offering a bounty for YouTube videos showing current gameplay.

100000 CR for the best video posted for each ship.

500000 CR for videos that gets 1000+ views.

To attempt to collect:

1) You must be good at flying your ship.  You don't have to be the best, just familiar with the basics.

2) Post a video to YouTube with 'Moonbreakers' in the title.

3) Post in this thread with a link to the video.

Awards will be given 1 week from Sunday.  The 1000+ view bounty will stand until canceled.  If you think you can do even better than 1000+ views, prove it and I'll up the bounty accordingly.

I reserve the right to reject videos that are offensive.

If you upgraded the missiles on the cobra before that option was removed (and replaced with a laser upgrade) please let me know by leaving a private message with you UberName.  --wj

Upgrades affect the targeted stat by a fixed percent.  Each upgrade is additive.  The contribution of each level (and the total effect) is:

Level 1 : 1%    (1%)

Level 2 : 2%    (3%)

Level 3 : 2%    (5%)

Level 4 : 3%    (8%)

Level 5 : 4%    (12%)

So each upgrade type can increase the performance of that stat by 12%.  --wj
