Greetings Pilots,

We just posted an update this afternoon. There have been a number of tweaks and bug fixes (some weapon improvements and more Cred for CTF) along with an important announcement about our new login process. It's quick and painless but you'll want to read the instructions posted on the Newswire today to get registered for your Ubernet account as well as get the details on what's been tweaked.

Hi Everyone.

Tomorrow evening (May 10th, Pacific Time) we will be concluding the unlock period for the new ships and locking them up int he Hangar. Any upgrades made will still be there but you'll need to unlock the ships to get them. Your feedback, as well as use of these ships in live games has been tremendously helpful, thanks for trying them!

Also our 30% off He-3 Sale will be concluding at the same time. This means all He-3 purchases made after tomorrow evening will be full price.

Many pilots have asked about the Cred pricing for the new ships so I wanted to give you a preview of the prices. Some of the new ships were added as more affordable options while four of them - the Viper, Merlin, Kingfisher and Panther, are "prestige" ships for dedicated players to work for and as such they're worth BIG Cred  :). These numbers may change before the lockdown, so don't assume these are final until you see them in the game.

F-3 Mamba - Free

F-3X Sidewinder - 600000

M3 Cobra - 940000

Greetings Pilots,

Today we update the game to include a new slew of ships - nine in fact, including a new class; Medium Fighters. We've left the ships unlocked for a short period to allow you to fly & try, with the hoped that we'll get good information about how they perform and how you like them before they go into lockdown. Check out the full update on the Newswire Blog here: (http://moonbreakers.wordpress.com/2012/05/07/new-ships-free-to-try-for-a-limited-time/) and let us know what you think!

Also, we'll be wrapping up the 30% off sale for He-3 soon so make sure you stock up if you need to. We'll post details when the ship lockdown and Sale end are imminent...

Just a quick note, pilots, to let you know we updated the game so solve a few reported bugs:

- He-3 containers should not show up in gametypes other than Capture the Flag

- The scoreboard has been fixed in Capture the Flag

- Minor CTF logic issues addressed

Keep letting us know if you find issues!

Hi everyone. We've received a number of reports of ships having gone missing when you log in. This was a temporary issue with our back end system (not a hack), which I've been informed is now fixed. All ships and upgrades are safe and should be back in the Hangar now. Please log out and back in to confirm the issue is resolved.

Hey pilots, since we've been pretty quiet this week, here's a look at the new feature in the works for the next update: Capture the Flag mode! You can read a little more about it on the Newswire (http://moonbreakers.wordpress.com/2012/04/20/in-the-works-capture-the-flag-mode)

We're working hard to get it up and running so stay tuned to the forums and we'll post as soon as its live.

Hey Everyone,

Apologies for not including this in the game update;

We've been looking at the data and 99.9% of players choose to fly in the USEast or EUWest servers. To reduce operating costs we are going to remove the unoccupied server regions for now and offer the above servers (EUWest and USEAst) until the game population requires that we expand the regions again.

Greetings Pilots,

This week's update is live, and includes a "High Value Target" bounty system to make things a little more challenging for ace flyers. We've also added a few tweaks to the scoreboard, missile lock system and engine performance. Check the Newswire blog for more information: http://moonbreakers.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/update-high-value-targets-missile-lock-and-performance/

Hey guys,

So we're undertaking pretty big structural work (including localisation support for other languages) right now but we want to balance it with some smaller regular feature updates. The next feature is High Value Targets, which has been positively voted for here on the forums. HVTs are pilots who rack up significant scores without being shot down. They will receive a special "Bounty" marker on the HUD for all players on the other team and a Cred reward will be given to the pilot who manages to take down the HVT. This should encourage team play, make things a little more challenging for our Ace Pilots (you know who you are) and add some additional depth to both game modes. WJ is cranking on this now so we'll have a "first pass" version in soon to see what people think and start tuning.

Some of you have asked about the status of the new Carrier. Right now our 3D artist is balancing time with a brand new addition to his family while finishing up a huge art-heavy task for a very cool future feature. The carrier has not been forgotten but it's going to have to wait until the current work items have cleared.

I'm going to try to post _impending_ update details here in News so everyone gets a bit of a heads up before changes go live. We've got an ASAP flag on an update to correct for some of the missile lock parameters that garnered quite a bit of negative feedback (addressed in this thread: http://moonbreakers.userecho.com/topic/104313-game-update-04022012-scoring-fix-audio-fix-target- ). We'll be deploying the following changes in this week's update:

  • Short Range Missiles lock timer down to 1 second
  • Long Range Missiles lock timer down to 1.5 seconds and speed increased to 275 metres/second (This will increase turning curve but allow for better hits on distant or faster moving targets)
  • Missiles can be fired without a lock (they'll behave like rockets - straight trajectory)
  • Crosshair (the floating reticle) will return to showing primary weapon range (red means in range) and the middle fixed reticle for secondary weapons other than the Cobra

Hopefully this resonates with the current Heavy Fighter pilots.
