Pilots,

We've heard what you had to say about the Cred cost of unlocking ships and today's build is a move to address that. We have reduced the Cred prices of all ships and simplified the Boost system to compensate. A lot of you will be happier about this (some will not, of course), but for a more detailed explanation of the hows and whys of what we do with Moon Breakers check out the Moon Breakers Newswire

Hi Moon Breakers

We've heard a lot of feedback here, on Facebook, the Blog and via reviews that our Cred prices seem unreachably high for the common player. Our goal was, and is, to strike a balance between keeping our player community happy and keeping ourselves employed. However we've been looking at ways to drop the Cred prices in the hopes that by allowing you - the players - to earn ships more quickly and we're looking to get that out in the next update.

I'll post details as soon as we're ready to deploy but I wanted to thank you for supporting us as we try to find our way through the Free-to-Play woods. Imba is a small group - just four in the office and some dedicated folks working part time from as far away as Ireland. Most of us have spent over a decade each making big AAA console and PC titles so we're still learning the ropes of the "games as service model". However our aim with Moon Breakers was to make a multiplayer space combat game that would sate the appetite of all the players out there who couldn't find it in the current crop of games. As the community gets larger, it becomes much more difficult to respond to posts and answer questions individually but please know we hear you, we love this game, and we want you to love it too :). Thanks again for creating such a vibrant community and keep sending us your thoughts.

Hello again Moon Breakers,

Just a quick update today to mention we've deployed an update that should fix a number of the server crash and client stability issues, as well as fix the over-scaled damage on torpedo detonation. We know bomber pilots will be sad at the loss of being able to annihilate entire squadrons at once, but it was actually a bug in the code and explosions will cause a much more reasonable amount of damage now, reduced the further way you get from the explosion epicentre.

Pilots,

It's update time again. We've dropped area-of-effect splash damage in for torpedoes and rockets (with remote triggering), a CTF gameplay update, new free-to-fly ships and rank bars among other things. Moon Breakers,
Today we just released an update that fixes a number of frequently reported issues and adds the #1 requested feature;  custom key mapping. Here are the details:

  • Stability issue fixes
    • We have added OpenGL 2.0 support to prevent the glGenFrameBuffers crash
    • Fixed the load-based random server crash
    • Fixed a crash resulting in leaving the Main Menu before the MotD data was downloaded
    • Fixed the updateInventory and updateUserInfo crashes
    • We are still seeing Steam builds deliver corrupted files occasionally. If you see a PnGError crash, something went wrong with the update and re-downloading should fix it until we can implement a permanent solution
  • Custom key mapping; you can now go to Options (at the Main Menu or in-game) and select Controls. This will allow you to re-map most of the major controls to mouse and keyboard inputs. We are in the middle of getting joystick support and, yes, inverted Y-axis for mouse and joystick for you Sim enthusiasts (we heard your lament). This is the first pass on allowing for much greater customisation in the future, let us know what you think.
We've seen an AMAZING response to our Steam release yesterday, many thanks to all you new pilots, and all you pilots who have been flying with us since Day One for your support! We're hard at work on the next round of features, maps and fixing issues as they come up, so stay tuned.

A small update today; we’ve had many reports of pilots showing up the game as <Null> instead of their actual Pilot IDs. We’ve fixed this issue and all you need to do is refresh your Google browser and log back in to update the game.

Pilots, we have some big news – Moon Breakers is coming to Steam! We've been hard at working making his happen for the past few months and now we're almost there. We’ll be launching to the public on May 17th, but you can check out the page here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/208030/. Running on Steam will allow Moon Breakers to harness the full power of your PC, and we’re really excited to be able to offer our game on one of the Universe’s most popular gaming platforms.

Even better, we’ll continue to support our Chrome version for the time being, and all players will play on the same servers. That means you can install Moon Breakers on your home PC via Steam, and play via Chrome when you’re out at school, work or stuck at your parents’ house all using the same account, racking up Cred wherever you go.

We have some more updates and features almost ready for deployment, so stay tuned. We wanted to make sure our community got a chance to try out the Steam version before everyone else, so here are some VIP pre-release codes for you guys to use. Make sure you comment on which code you take, and PM us if you want more for your friends to try!
