I'd have liked to have seen one lit from in front/below with a wash of tinted light (blue? green? red?) from an instrument console, but otherwise 4 for me.

I prefer 1, it seems to have a lot more detail than the others.
Additionally, the eyes on 2 make him look tired fighting and tired of living, as if he were a veteran of the space war just waiting to finally die.
The eyes on 3 give off the impression of an overconfident nugget who will get either himself or his entire squad killed. He looks like most dangerous kind of person, an ambitious and inexperienced idiot who is eager to prove himself one.
Finally, the eyes on 1 and 4 seem the best, a proper thousand-yard stare without coming off as too depressed. He knows that this space war is hell, but he sucks it up, he does his job, and he does it calmly. Number 4 seems a fair bit more sinister than 1 due to the lighting and contrast, however.
I choose number 1.

Well they all look nice and i kinda feel liek we are largely arguing the details in our votes. I do want to ask because it isn't clear to me, what is the intention for these... actual pilots in the cockpits in game?
Will aces be able to buy the rights to have custom* ones?
Quite curious to know how/where/when we'll see these used!

i prefer realism, so the higher contrast and saturation of the others is uninteresting to me. 1 is most realistic IMO, but too soft-lit, but something about the lighting on 4 is convincing to me even though it's a little more cartoonish.
I agree with Jiel. Number 2 looks troubled... Like he's just discovered his mother has been boffing his best friend/wingman. Or (unrelated) his chidlhood dog has recently died.

I like the styling. Think they are all great.
The attire raises questions. Nothing serious here and I don't want to pick holes. I've never been sure why space pilots need goggles, and in this case - life jackets and if they do need all this protective gear, perhap breathing ap might be useful too...? Artisic license etc... Good stuff :)
